River Street Sweets * Savannah's Candy Kitchen (4/5) on Yelp

This is a brand new place, and likely to be overwhelmed if you show up and it’s early days. However, it is so worth it. There are wonderful smells, free samples, and lots of delicious things you're…

We’ve been doing some testing for some time now with a few ideas for Signature Crab Cake sandwiches. After gaining some popularity being served on our food truck, we’ve decided to offer them in our store for a limited time. First we have the Korean Kimchi and sriracha matched with our amazing crab cakes. Not something you’ll find in any other place. And next we have our Asian style sandwich served with lettuce and topped with teriyaki glaze and wasabi aoli. Another combination you’re sure to love! Come give them a try! #crabcakes #seafood #sandwich #kimchicrabcakes #asiancrabcakes #topfoodnews #devourpower #yelp #eater #eaterphilly #yelpphilly #zipkick #foodietribe #philly #feedfeed #delaware #eatfamous #forkyeah #beautifulcuisine #flatlay #zipkickphiladelphia #bestfoodphilly (at Famous Crabcakes and More By Rigatoni’s)

This is a coffee shop not too far from my house that I sorely miss. I remember the first times I visited, I was probably only about twelve to fourteen, and there was a comfy couch with a pile of Donald Duck comics next to it. It was probably the first time I had ever read Carl Barks, and it would be another ten years or so before I got a chance to delve deeply into his works.

When I was twenty-one or so, I started going to classes at the community college across the street, and on a couple occassions I went there for lunch. It was actually the first time I had gone there in years. I seem to remember they had a really tasty pastrami bagel sandwich (although I might be confusing it with the pastrami bagel sandwich at the also-defunct Union Bagel at LA’s Union Station).
But I do know it was the first time I ever tried an iced mocha, which I ordered both times.

It was shortly after that the place closed, which really bummed me out. I had always meant to take a photo of the cool interior, but it’s probably too late now. The only interior photos I could find were from the old Yelp page, but you can barely see anything.
This is as dark as a shot in the dark could be, but does anybody in the world have photos of the inside of this place??
