Wishing you a blessed Father’s Day and to each man who has ever stood by a child when they needed it - thank you! Whether you are a father, a brother, a coach, a friend, etc. you play a role. Let’s continue to be good to the kids out there. They need it. Today I am so grateful for a man who is not my father by blood but by choice. What a picture of true love he showed me by encouraging me when I was down, disciplining when I needed it and laughing with me until my belly ached. He taught me perseverance, joy, self-worth and self-respect and I can’t think of a better definition of a dad than teaching his child that.
I pray that kind of person for each child and if you did not have a great earthly father I say one more thing to tell you there is a God that loves you beyond all you can imagine - this describes His love for you - Romans 8:38-39 tells us, “Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Whether your dad was fabulous, failed you, or was somewhere in between - know today that you are cherished and loved by God’s love for you that nothing in this world can break! Amen 🙏 •
