Follow the scent of coffee and baked goods down the grey cobble stone path, past the inticing window displays of Smac gallery and Smiths interior design store into the sunlit square of De Wet’s centre in Stellenbosch. There, tucked into the corner beneath a leafy oak tree you’ll find the cutest little croissant and coffee bar, the only one of its’ kind, serving up your much awaited caffeine and good carb fix.
Schoon’s returned to the dorp with this take away bar concept as well as an in house cafe at their bread manufactory in down town Stellenbosch. I absolutely love visiting either spot, the croissant bar for the ease of being and people watching while the sun light dances over you through the rustling leaves. The manufactory for languid solo visits perfect for journaling or reading and of course the delicious pastries, wholesome food and drinks served with care at each venue.
I look forward to trying out their new menu at the end of the month. I am lucky enough to be considered part of the family and so landed an invitation to the unveiling of new tasty things they’ll be offering. I’m excited to share that up coming blog with you soon! Till then you know where to go when next in Stellies.
