Nakeup Face Water-Tox Ampoule

I have a confession to make.

When I bought this, I had no idea that it was a peeling ampoule, which means that it is used for exfoliation. I used it every day, mistaking it for a normal ampoule, until I started breaking out. You may ask, “Aren’t you supposed to check out the product’s properties before purchasing it?”

Yeah, I didn’t because it was on sale so I had to get it before it was sold out. It turns out that I had a chemical exfoliant all along.

I don’t exfoliate 1-2 times a week. Just once a week, as I have sensitive skin. And this ampoule is really gentle and smells like nothing so you know there aren’t any fragrances in it to irritate your skin. I think it’s supposed to make your face more plump and glowy.

It’s a bit sticky, but absorbs quickly into your skin. You can definitely feel a difference in your skin texture afterwards.

You have to apply toner before using it. Once I forgot that step and used it on my face straight after cleansing. Nothing bad happened, but I would not recommend doing that.

In conclusion, you should try this product if you have dry skin. I didn’t experience any side effects once I used it correctly. 💁🏻‍♀️

when will we finally acknowledge that acne is largely the result of hormonal changes + genetics and no amount of non-medicated cleanser or potato-chip-avoidance will keep it from happening to you/make it go away

  • if your parents still get breakouts, so too will you
  • if you’re a teenager/young adult, you will get breakouts
  • if you’re having your monthly hormone surge, males and females, you will get breakouts

yup, even if you only consume like water, fruit, veg, and maybe some lean meats. that’s not a balanced diet, btw, while we’re here.

same goes for big pores btw. no amount of pore-tightening masks will permanently shrink your pores. if you parents have big pores, so too will you!

skincare products and a squeaky clean diet can make your skin softer and brighter than the skin of someone with no routine who eats like shit, but that’s all they’re good for.

so, the whole point here: you’re not neglecting your health or something if you don’t spend $50+ on the hottest skincare products every month. all your skin really needs is water and maybe some lotion. most people benefit from actually leaving their skin alone and not scrubbing toning masking shellacking it nightly. my skin has never been softer/brighter than it is now and i’m just using like…2 oils and 1 slightly medicated product - but also everyone in my family has a nice complexion with only mild/moderate acne! you good. all this skincare stuff is just for fun. don’t feel bad if you don’t buy into it.

bonus: some credible studies (read: not prevention magazine “studies”) have concluded that foods high on the glycemic index as well as dairy worsen acne but yeah…pizza, soda, and dirty pillowcases won’t ruin the skin of the genetically blessed, and only the pillowcase MAY worsen the skin of the kid whose entire bloodline has had acne since forever.

sweat also has no impact on acne. make-up also rarely impacts acne. some drugs can cause or worsen acne, but that’s atypical.

silk pillowcases and rose water are glamorous and fun, but they’re not necessities. don’t let people make you feel bad for not spending your money on them.

#friyayfaves inspired by @the__glow__girl Here are some of my fave products from @deciem ♡

The Ordinary:

Caffeine Solution- this eye serum works to reduce puffiness and dark circles. I love keeping it in my skin fridge so that it’s refreshing/cooling under my eyes!•

AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution- when my skin is acting up and is in need of a good exfoliation, I pull this out. It works to brighten and clear up my skin.•

Lactic Acid 10% + HA- this is a really good exfoliating serum! It works to diminish dark spots and hyper pigmentation.•

Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion- this is a great retinol product! It’s not too strong and definitely helped a bit w/ my acne prone skin. I recommend this if you’re looking to try a gentle retinol.•

Serum Foundation in the shade 3.1 R- I’m almost out of this! It the perfect lightweight foundation and lasts all day. The shade match is also great!•

♡ Other products not pictured: ♡

Hyaluronic Acid Serum + B5- one of my fave hydrating serums! My skin drinks this up ♡•

Niancimide Serum 10% + Zinc 1%- this was one of the first niancimide serums I tried and I still love it! My skin is always so glowy when I use this serum.

@elfcosmetics Hydrating Water Essence 🖤

A lightweight nourishing essence that makes your skin appear and feel softer. It’s made w/ amazing ingredients such as coconut water, purified water, algae and coffee. These key ingredients help hydrate and plump the skin leaving it baby smooth.•

I’ve been using this essence for a couple of months now and my skin loves it! It’s very lightweight but adds the perfect amount of moisture before applying serums. A little of this goes a long way so this will last awhile.

This essence also pairs well w/ the Fourth Ray Beauty Rainfall serum! Amazing duo ♡

This #weekend….

I’m so sorry to anyone I started talking to

I feel a bit weird mentally and I hope I can hop back into our conversation tomorrow, but I have to take care of myself first and get some rest.

I realized I miss someone that I really shouldn’t be (?) there’s no reason to and this person hurt me a lot. I’ll talk about my feelings in my next group therapy maybe, if I still feel like it then, but even thinking about it weird me out and disgusts me..

Again, I’m sorry! I hate letting people wait for anything

❀ SPACCHETTIAMO INSIEME | Yves Rocher - Album 7 ❀ #4

Full disclosure: I used makeup to give the illusion of having a pimple. Did quite a shitty job if we’re honest, but here’s what:

While I have acne skin & have created dozens of videos about this topic over the past 2 yrs, sharing how my skin used to be like… reality is that everything I’ve done, has worked wonders!!

HYDRATING/ doing the 7 SKIN method, properly moisturizing & spot treating the right way (all these you can find in my Highlighted stories) + not popping pimples & really doing all the recipes I’m sharing…. ALL those things worked ✨MAGIC.

Used the @drdennisgross SpotLite Acne Treatment Device. Not sponsored; I just used it a few times in the past & felt like it cut the lifespan of the pimple by half.

STEP 2: Spot Treatment

2 aspirin tablets
a little distilled H2O
turmeric (to thicken into a paste)
10 drops Jojoba oil
7 drops Tea Tree oil

Apply with a q-tip & ideally leave on overnight.
This will tint the skin! But if you use an oil to remove the treatment in the morning (I.e. jojoba or Argan) then wash with a gentle (non-foaming) cleanser & follow with skincare & SPF… by the time you’re done, the tint should be 🙅🏼‍♀️. It’s always gone for me.

Please patch-test on a small skin area, to make sure you don’t have any allergies. Allow for 24 hours, then use as directed.

Can store at room temp for 5-6 days.

Aspirin has a large % of Salicylic Acid (an active ingredient in many acne products) which has anti-microbial properties that fight bacteria.

The antibacterial properties in jojoba oil are effective against the bacteria that causes acne. It also helps loosen & cleanse clogged pores, excess sebum & reduce redness & swelling.

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties that target pores & calm skin. It’s also known to reduce scarring.

Tea tree has acne-reducing benefits relatively similar to commercially used benzoyl peroxide.

🖋️Practicing my cursive and making some routines to follow. When I feel a depressive spiral coming on, I find it hard to do basic things like these, but writing it out helps me remember what I should be doing. I’ve tweaked my routines a bit to suit what I’ve been doing lately and the products I’ve been using. My skin has been looking really good so I’m planning to stick to this for a while and see if it keeps improving 😊

I’m at the pool today but it’s pretty cool outside. I’m going to work on making some pages in my journal for goals, savings, books to read, self care ideas, etc. I’m very excited to get going!
