PILATES - os seus benefícios

O método que surgiu no início do século passado tem como principal objetivo unir o corpo e a mente. Foi a partir desse pensamento e de várias observações que seu idealizador, Joseph Pilates, criou a Contrologia. Mas não se engane, este processo não foi rápido e foi preciso vários anos de estudo assim como uma metodologia projectada a partir do público que estudava.

Como Joseph afirmava, a Contrologia tem por resultado o controle consciente de todos os movimentos musculares do corpo, assim aplicando todos os princípios do método que tem bases em fundamentos anatômicos, fisiológicos e cinesiológicos, que são: Concentração, Controlo, Precisão, Centro, Respiração e Movimento fluido.


  1. Concentração – o objetivo desse princípio é a total concentração no movimento que está sendo realizado para garantir que este seja desenvolvido com a maior eficácia possível;

  2. Controlo – o controlo do movimento visa um padrão suave e  de harmonia sempre concentrando no exercício proposto assim visando aprimorar a coordenação motora e evitando contrações musculares desnecessárias;

  3. Precisão – ele é fundamental para a qualidade do movimento e realinhamento postural, assim controlando o equilíbrio dos diferentes músculos que estão sendo trabalhados no movimento;

  4. Centro – mais conhecido como power house é o foco de todos os exercícios do método, pois o fortalecimento dessa musculatura proporciona a estabilização do tronco e um alinhamento com menor gasto energético aos movimentos;

  5. Respiração – o método enfatiza a respiração e é o fator primordial no início do movimento, e tem sempre que estar sincronizada com a realização dos movimentos;

  6. Fluidez – o objetivo desse princípio é dar leveza ao exercício, com movimentos controlados para que não haja impacto pesados no começo nem no final de nenhum exercício.

Feel the burn in your abductors and give a little workout to your obliques with this small sequence that I teach at my Balates class. Useful for aerialists trying to get beautiful straight leg straddles and aspiring ballet students. 😊

✅ Remember to keep the hips square. Don’t slouch back.
✅ Engage pelvis and tuck the tailbone.
✅ It’s about extending the leg. If you bed it, lower your stretch first and build up.

Lezione di pilates: strana, tutta sulla schiena, gran lavoro di gambe e addominali, dura a tratti, bellissima per altri, gli allungamenti sono stati difficili e impegnativi, ma sono perseverante e ho notato quanto sono migliorata, anche il lattugghino è soddisfatto. Comunque alla fine ero demolita, ma al vegan non lo diciamo..e ora pizza e birretta, alla faccia delle intolleranze alimentari, che sono superabili, a differenza dell'intolleranza ai cretini!

In short: Sound waves travel into the ear canal until they reach the eardrum. The eardrum passes the vibrations through the middle ear bones or ossicles into the inner ear. The inner ear is shaped like a snail and is also called the cochlea. Inside the cochlea, there are thousands of tiny hair cells. Hair cells change the vibrations into electrical signals that are sent to the brain through the hearing nerve. The brain tells you that you are hearing a sound and what that sound is.

I’m back!!! Feeling loooads better today and I think it must show bc I got hit on today, which has literally never happened to me, I didn’t think that happened in real life 😂 Went to class, did the grocery shopping and got some treats for Matthew for his birthday coming up, met him for lunch in the sunshine (leftover sweet and sour pork, a clementine and a banana) and now doing some housework and going to do a little glute workout before I start cooking dinner. Sooo glad to be feeling more like myself 😄💃🏼
