So, muscle memory, then….
Only been back to more serious training for a couple of weeks now. And to be fair, hardly anything for the upper body.
But when I am doing my punching and kicking type workout dvd’s, I always wear weighted gloves (not heavy, but still, added resistance).
And any time I am working my upper body at all, I make sure I can FEEL the weight!
So, my biceps are apparently getting bigger already. My genetics dictate that this is the one area of my body that builds up REALLY easily, especially after working them tirelessly for a few years, when I first started noticing the muscle that was developing there. I went really heavy, and really pushed myself to getting awesome guns and delts.
And I did. They were awesome indeed!
But, that time is gone. And I don’t want that any more.
So, I need to lay off the weighted gloves, and go much lighter when doing anything with my arms.
It’s that angel and devil on your shoulder thing. The angel is whispering ‘’that’s right, go light, just focus on staying fit, strong and healthy! No bulk here, young lady!’’, whereas the devil is grunting ‘’come on, you wuss, you know you want to get those fabulous arms back!! Everyone used to comment on them! Pick up some heavy weights!!’’
But no, that’s not my aim, or my goal now.
Fit, strong, healthy and lean. I don’t need big guns for that!
