@Regran_ed from @inkverywell - When I die, I want a warrior’s funeral. My family gathered at the shore, and me elegantly drifting off the coast in a gown of flames. You may hook my enemies on as bait to feed the sharks. ••••••••••••••••••
I want to tell you all about God on this Monday (peep my preacher verbiage):
At the time I’d gotten asked to come film for this scene, my father was in Burn ICU and the doctors were convinced he wouldn’t make it through the year. My mother, sister, and I all lived at the hospital with my dad that winter. We never left his side. During that time, God kept me busy in the things I loved and even reintroduced me to acting! Working on a set is one of my favorite things and being guided by @davidbianchi_official is an even bigger blessing. Not to mention he introduced me to my childhood crush (I’m sure everyone had a crush on) @malcolmjamalwar. Thank you for knowing I’m dope. ❤️ I appreciate the support - #Unity #strength #Love #Live #Life #Men #women #Art #musically #grind #fun #music #newyorkcity #artists #canada #amsterdam #america #thailand #brazil #italy #paris #china #sweden #LA #SUNSHINE #1 #god #jesus #world (at Brooklyn Heights)

Why don’t more liberal feminists notice how much the body positive/fat activist community reinforces traditional gender norms? They really tend to reduce women to their sexual/aesthetic value and talk about being alienated from their gender when they weren’t pampered by boys. I’m all for loving your body but keep it within a healthy ideological framework.

Misogynistic men 🙄

Now before I start, yes not all men are like this, however, in my experience a lot are. My female manager and I literally just open the store and there was an older man waiting outside. My manager says good morning and he immediately responds “I didn’t wake you, did I? Haha 😉”

What the actual fuck!? It’s 9am, of course you didn’t wake her. We said good morning, mate, we didn’t walk out yawning and scratching our head. You know what, get the fuck out!

Football gives us chances.

A feminist look at women and their role in Football.

To begin, what is feminism? It is a doctrine and social movement that asks for the recognition of capacities and rights that have traditionally been reserved for men. You can apply this quest for equality in several areas but if you look at football, it is a struggle that seems to have barely begun.

I decided to take this topic to try and defend my point of view which is that, women, are important in football and with a good preparation can go very far.

If you go deeper into the subject, you can know and understand many points of view; because of the struggle of this and to prove the existing differences and that many, to this day, deny.

To start, football officially began in 1863 in England, where this sport went hand in hand with Rugby, they were divided and the “Football Association” was created as the first governing body of sport. In England the first club emerged as Shieffield Football Club in 1857 and in Spain, Real Club Recreativo de Huelva in 1889, thanks to English influence.

To the surprise of many, women’s football begins in 1895, in London with the confrontation of the South and North of London, England.

Today women’s football is still differentiated, including opinions from reporters or former players who oppose it, arguing that women’s sport has already been given too much prominence and equality, something that can be denied in several aspects as transmission of matches by television, salary, importance on the part of sports media, field of play and importance of the team.

The first argument I support is that if women are prepared with dedication and in a period of time similar of men from an early age and not at the end of adolescence, a team can emerge and be equally effective.

Despite the disadvantage of starting later in the sport, there are still teams, taking the example of Atlético de Madrid Femenino that have emerged very well, participating in important competitions and making a difference in this case, in Spanish football, so that, if teams are prepared from before they will definitely be able to get very far.

On the other hand we have a very different case in terms of Real Madrid, who is a great team and respectable in the world of leagues, but has no female team to the date.

Also, if we watch matches, the players have the same hunger and they fight to win, they feel passion for the sport and the shirt/shield, and until the end of the game they give it to match the result or ensure the team’s victory.

Unfortunately this is not disclosed as, very few channels in the world broadcast live a match and this is accompanied by the small “stadium” and in poor condition to use, so placing cameras at various angles, it would be expensive ; and adding the few resources that clubs have, it would be very difficult to afford a new stadium.

The last point that seems to me the main one is the salary, taking as an example Marta Vieira Da Silva, player of the National Team of Brazil and Orlando Pride, and Neymar Da Silva Santos Junior, Player of the National Team of Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain. The salary difference, in spite of the prizes that both players have, the performance of both is very good but while Neymar earns approximately 36 Million Euros while Marta earns 650,000 Dolars.

The second argument that support is linked to journalism, apart from the little importance that they give to women’s sports, many dare to “suggest” that this has already been given enough, when it is not; adding to this the mockery on the part of journalists or leaders of programs, which have comrades who made the same career as them and are equally informed about the subject, still like to impose their phrase “football is for men” with attitudes and sexist phrases in live broadcast programs, so if there are differences to date, and by public figures.

It can also be seen in the percentage of women who dedicate themselves to sports journalism, a 5.11% and instead the man 93.9%, of that 5%, very few achieve a higher charge.

In conclusion, it seems to me that both arguments can “throw down” by vulgarly speaking phrases like “what does a woman know about football?” And “football is for men” as we can see Marta both alone and accompanied by her team has accumulated many achievements , one of the most outstanding is the “the Best” which has won this year; and on the other hand from the journalism, the women who follow the career today contribute a lot of information to the sports world and they know how to argue their opinion from a good point of view and without attacking any co-worker.

Rights are being obtained little by little these days for the female sports area and also testing the differences that are still observed in this, so there is still much to change and obtain.
