I went to the dentist the other day. OMG!! Did she love my mouth. So healthy. A patient on a low sugar/no sugar diet is a dentist dream come true. No bleeding, no inflammation, no cavities, just a light dusting of plague to scrape off and no gingivitis. I love my smile.

I went to a Christmas Party today put on for Veterans!!❤️❤️❤️

We played Bingo for prices and we got to see a real comedian. He was sooo handsome. Like Fresh Prince of Bel Air Handsome from the 90’s. Gorgeous teeth and white smile. He spent so much time calling on me and making me a part of his act. Standing in front of everybody made me feel so shy. I took Jalapeño Chicken Caserole and everybody LOVED it. It’s not keto, but it was a party. Then I got a homemade blanket and a goody bag to take home. My heart was so happy. I’m so starved for human interaction and I never get it. I just take care of my family and I never get to go anywhere or do anything. This is the first party I’ve been invited to in over a year.

Thought #24 - Self-Admiration

Nothing would boost your self-esteem as a good praise even if it is just from yourself.

Sadly, a lot of people have problems with self-esteem and confidence. Confidence is such an important state of being that influences a lot of different aspects of our life. This is why lack of it should not be left without attention. Otherwise, it could often lead to such uncomfortable issues as social anxiety, second-guessing personal decision or fear of public speaking. There are different reasons that could hurt our confidence and they could get accumulated and aggravate the problem over time. However, there is one simple exercise that could help to start gaining some confidence. All you have to do is to start self-admiration journal. In this journal you have to write at least three things that you did today and that made you to like yourself. Do it every day either in the morning and think about the past day or do it in the evening and just evaluate your day. Write down what you did well, what actions or thoughts made you feel good about yourself. Start with something small and easy such as “I like that I helped an elderly lady and hold a door for her” or “I like that I stayed calm during stressful situation at work”. Do not be modest, praise yourself at the fullest and pay attention to all good things that you did today. It will not only increase your awareness about all positive actions that you take on regular basis, it will also trigger your desire to do more of those things, try out new ways to improve yourself and, as a result, boost your confidence in your own strengths. Self-admiration journal is just a small first step that you could take. Nevertheless, it can have a significant benefit and build a good foundation for boosting your self-esteem and bringing it to new levels.
