I want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home. I want to go home.

That’s all I repeat in my head 24/7.

It’s like when you go to a sleep over at a friends house. You’re comfortable but at the same time you lay awake because you are missing your own pillows and blankets and the smell of your own room, the quiet noises around you that you’re used to.

I miss the way his little snores escape while he’s sleeping, and I miss laying next to him, and knowing I can look at him if I can’t sleep and that he’s right there.

I want to go home so badly it’s all I can think about.

The Old Man & The Gun (2018) starring Robert Redford was amazing at TIFF this year. That film was well paced, well acted and well shot and shot on location alot more than I was expecting for a film that weaves all over the US. Top notch work. Plus the smattering of humour was well placed too. The film retained a playful delight whilst shouldering a definite realism and sincerity. The lighter moments didn’t feel out of place and the period touches really felt like the piece inhabited the era. Nicely done.

Also, it made me inordinately happy remembering that I’d actually heard of The Over-The-Hill Gang.

I just want to be able to see that before the Internet blows up with people talking about it after it’s US release in 4 days.

Ya heard it here first!
