The 2019 “Tondi" series comes from a process of manipulation of Polaroid films, that results in a number of dreamlike landscapes in which the viewer identifies himself and gets pleasantly involved in the exercise of interpretation. The Tondi series is extremely versatile for interiors spaces.

Mauro Moriconi (born in Lucca, Italy, in 1980), after graduating at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, got deeper into his artistic research in Lisbon, then cooperated with Mimmo Rotella, from whom he learned the décollage technique, later merged into his works.

In 2007 Moriconi created his first photographic plate engraved on aluminum: this innovative technique marks a turning point for the artist expressive and becomes the key to success that led him to collaborate with art galleries in NYC and LA.

In 2013 and 2017 he was selected for the International Fair of Photography in Milan Mia Fair, where his photographic series got the attention of the press.
