Shore Street in the Lovely village of Applecross, Wester Ross, Scotland has a commanding view looking out over the “Inner Sound” of the “Isle of Raasay” to the distant northern mountains on the “Isle of Skye”

Calle “La Amargura”.

De la calle “La Amargura”.

Te llaman de “La Amargura”

y eres como la violeta

que escondida por la fronda

disimula su belleza.

Son tus casitas muy blancas

y empinadita tu cuesta;

las piedras de tus peldaños,

anárquicas, serpentean,

verdinosas, cuesta arriba,

perdiéndose en tus revueltas.

Eres balcón y atalaya

de fulgurantes estrellas,

pero para mí, Dios mío,

de amarguras están llenas

tus gradas y tus tapiales,

y hasta el aire que te besa

tiene para mí suspiros

de dolorosa tristeza.

Que cuando de noche subo

los peldaños de tu cuesta

a cuestas con el recuerdo

de aquella niña morena

que impaciente me esperaba

en el umbral de su puerta

con un beso a flor de labios

y entre sus ojos un poema

de amores hondos que siempre

irán consigo a mi pena,

una congoja, en el alma,

me atenaza y atormenta.

De este efímero mundillo

se fue mi novia morena

en una noche de luna,

jazmines y luz de estrellas.

Cuando el romero exhalaba

su aliento de primavera,

las rosas engalanaban

la cal de las azoteas,

metidita en una caja

con albura de azucenas,

de la calle “La Amargura”

salió una tarde abrileña…

Al doblar de las campanas

y entre murmullos de viejas

se la llevaron los curas

hacia su mansión eterna.

Mis ilusiones también

se la llevaron con ella;

sólo me dejaron viva

la carcoma y la pena

que paseo por las gradas

verdinosas de tu cuesta.

hey, fellow scorp Moon, cancer Rising! here's a likely stupid question: signs+Houses = how is it determined what goes where? e.g. my 1st H begins at 23º Cancer and 12th H begins at 23º Gemini. planets are easy to figure out @ Houses b/c degrees, but if an article or blog post talks about "x sign in y house", how do I know? should I be reading under "Gemini in the 11th H" (begins in 21° Taurus, covers most of Gemini) or "Gemini in the 12th H" (begins in Gemini, covers most of Cancer).

No stupid questions here, don’t worry. Just look at the degrees. If you have a natal planet/transit let’s say at 21’ Gem, it would be in your 11th house, since your 12th begins at 23 degrees Gemini. Predictive astrology posts are written mostly in whole houses system bc it’s easier, so if you’re a Cancer rising let’s say, they’ll always write ‘this and that is happening in your 1st house’ although maybe your rising (and hence,1st house) begins at late degrees. So you just have to know which degrees certain planets/transits are on and read description for that house.
