I’ve embarked on this Becoming a Health Coach 6 month program. Whoever knows me knows that I am not a health freak. Restricting what I eat or going to a gym has never been my style. I don’t like strict regimens of anything. Meal planning, exercising x times a week, and diets are methods we are told to incorporate to stay healthy. However, for me these solutions suck the joy out of every day activities, and make me feel defeated. 

It’s been a week since I started taking classes on redefining health, and so far the information I’ve learned about health in general has really resonated with me. I want to share some words of wisdom I’ve learned this week that has brought me a lot of clarity.

>You digest more than your food, you digest all aspects of life. 

>Exercising and eating healthy is only half the equation to living healthy. Being in the ideal state to digest your food, “relaxation response”, is the other half. 

>Stress is the single biggest cause of diseases.

>When you are stressed you are: absorbing less nutrients, loosing gut flora and nutrients, increasing salt retention, increasing blood cholesterol, increasing inflammation, and decreasing sex hormones, and increasing cortisol production which is seen as fat in the belly. 

> Your body has an innate wisdom, beyond any book or authority.(LISTEN TO YOUR BODY)

>Your thoughts and relationship with food and your body impacts your health just as powerfully as the food you eat. 

> Count chemicals, not calories.


To sum it up, Choosing a couple habits changes to reduce the stress in our every day lives and listening to our body’s needs are powerful ways to become healthier versions of ourselves.

Haha TODAY WAS #SHOULDERDAY, BAYBAAAAAAAAY! We friggin KILLED them today, and it is honestly so badass training with some people that are just as HUNGRY and or MOTIVATING. In order to get better, you have to seek out, and find who is better. Then you learn, imitate, and then maybe one day surpass. That’s how this game works! If you aren’t down with constant education, and really digging deep into yourself to figure out how to make you better DAILY, then you might have to reevaluate some things, and attack in a different direction. Ya feel me? OH HELL YEAH! GETCHA SOME AND GROW BABY GROW!
