Know your body, and listen to it

It’s day 2 of my sustainable diet tips! Today’s tip is as easy as it sounds: listen to what your body is telling you.

I first took this into account about five years ago when my boyfriend (now husband) and I switched over to lactose free milk and tried not to consume large amounts of lactose more than once a week (large amount in my world = blizzard from Dairy Queen). Since then, it has been a lot easier for me to keep bloating to a minimum. I still eat cheese nearly every day (try to stick with aged cheeses because they have less lactose), but I am really careful otherwise.

I have friends who say all the time how their bodies respond poorly to certain things (yeast, eggs, certain veggies, etc.), but they ignore it and wonder why they have bloating or issues going to the bathroom. I think this is silly at this point in our lives because we have total control over what we put on our bodies. Make smart choices!

It may seem tough at first, but this is another diet tip that is totally sustainable and worth it :)

WHEN SHOULD A PERSON TAKE MCT (Medium Chain Triglyceride Oil) OIL?

I personally do IF (intermittent fasting) everyday for the last 2 years.

I use MCT oil but NOT WHEN FASTING & NEVER TO COOK WITH (coconut oil is good and healthy to cook with).

………

I use it at these times (after my meal and before my bed are the same for me due to my lifestyle):

1. To break my fast
2. Before my meal (not often although I should more often 😞)
3. After my meal
4. Pre-workout
5. I use it before bed.

………..

I normally take 15ml (one tablespoon) a few times I might take 30ml (two tablespoons).
