Hi there, hope you're very well! Am hoping you can help me with a quick question as a Welsh language expert... We want to name our house 'Stone House' in Welsh (our surname and it's made largely out of Sandstone...) but I'm having trouble figuring out what the correct word for 'Stone' is in this context. Google has given me both Garreg and Carreg, but the University of Wales' online dictionary doesn't have Garreg in it - what should I be using? Many thanks!
sounds best to me. Welsh words undergo mutation in certain circumstances, which is why it’s coming up with ‘Garreg’, and there are some houses in Wales that are called ‘Tŷ Carreg
Garreg’. Never rely on Google translate though, not for Welsh anyway!
