Here’s a quick & extremely delicious recipe for Classic Tomato Soup with a twist! :

2 T Olive Oil
1 T butter, unsalted
¼ c Screamin’ Onionz
1 clove garlic, finely minced
2 T flour
3 c stock, vegetable, chicken or beef
1-28 oz can crushed tomatoes, we use @tuttorossotomatoes with basil
¼ c heavy cream
1 T Italian seasoning
Salt & Freshly milled pepper to taste
1. Place olive oil and butter in a heavy bottom pot and heat on med until bubbly.
2. Add garlic and Screamin’ Onionz and whisk together for 4 minutes.
3. Add flour and whisk for 4 minutes. Don’t let flour burn.
4. Add chicken stock, stir constantly until the mixture comes to a simmer and it thickens.
5. Add crushed tomatoes, stir until the mixture comes to a simmer.
6. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
7. Add heavy cream right before stirring. Serve with grilled cheese, crackers or just in a bowl by itself.
