I know it’s still hard but just remeber that I love you and I’m here if you need me.

And hey!! Don’t forget to keep taking care of yourself! Drink water, eat, relax, get rest, take breaths and find some time for you!

Life, though hard and grueling, has its moments. So find the little things, give yourself even the tiniest reason to smile!

I LOVE my job.

I love my job because of the improvement in a patient’s health and recovery my colleagues and I facilitate.

I love my job because I get to be the rock the patient and their family can lean against when things are tough.

I love my job because of the smiles and laughs I conjure up (sometimes through bad jokes or teasing).

I love my job because I make a difference.

Sure, it’s busy and it happens often that I and other nurses don’t get all we want done due to understaffing. Some days we don’t get lunch because we choose to care for the patients and relatives first. We are exhausted at the end of most days…but we can see the amazing effect it has and that makes it all worth it.

I get huge hugs and smiles from those whose lives I touch, they remember my name and appreciate when I’m at work - and that’s even though ALL my colleagues are brilliant and compassionate.

So while I might not be the fastest nurse or the one with the most know-how yet…I’m not gonna skip out on the extra chats I have with people in my care.

I’m fucking proud.

Not all men are misogynistic.

There are men that caress and don’t hit.

That smile and kiss instead of insulting.

There are men that look at you with admiration, not domination.

There are men that respect your space, your connections, your emotions and your fears.

And they hug and care and love.

We come from generations of violence and abuse.

Our generation can be a bridge to teach how to love to the generations to come, and we can do this through our actions and reactions.

Only humanity can “save” humanity.

You seem to be blogging a lot of quotes & writings filled with sadness these days Miss Blaze. Everything alright in your world?

You’re sweet to ask. I blog what resonates with me. Sometimes it’s past issues, or something I’m currently navigating. I have my”sad” moments. But please know, I am alright.

Thank you for your concern, and reaching out to check in. I appreciate it. 💋

Perhaps it feels like you’ve been waiting forever for something to change—for a new direction in your career, for a relationship to be restored, for the willpower to break a bad habit, or for deliverance from a difficult situation. The painted turtle and the psalmist are here to remind us to trust in God: He hears, and He will deliver.

Ephraim, what have I to do with idols?
It is I who answer and look after you.
I am like an evergreen cypress;
from me comes your fruit.

Caring comes from the Gothic word kara, which means to lament. So caring is not what a powerful person gives to a weaker one. Caring is a matter of being there…lamenting right along with the one who laments.
