I was sick for a short period of time, actually slept almost the entire day/night of Sunday, so I took 3 days off & did a light & today. It wore me out, but I'm so thankful to have been able to do even that. Listen to your body. Rest when needed.

Yesterday morning I decided to go to the gym with my fiance before work. Since I worked Sunday for 4 hours, I’m going in an hour later during the week so I had a little time to spare. I ended up doing 40min of interval training on the bike. It felt good, I got nice and sweaty, and I felt strong. It’s been a good while since I did the bike, so I’m pleased with how much stronger I’ve gotten!

Total milage: 11 miles

I hit another milestone this morning - down 60 pounds since surgery. Honestly, I’d be comfortable in this range. The low 170s. I feel good, I like what I see in the mirror (but let’s be serious, the reverse body dysmorphia has always been strong, so maybe I need to see some pictures to determine that). I’m not saying I’d complain if more weight fell off, but I feel extraordinarily accomplished where I’m at and with some muscle definition could definitely be happy here.

My body fat is the only thing concerning me, but I’m working on it. I went to my gym last week for my kickoff session with a personal trainer and signed up to see him once a week for three months. He’s going to create separate upper and lower body workouts for me to do on my own once a week (one day for upper, one day for lower), and then on Fridays we’re going to do “functional fitness” together (sleds, ropes, etc.) to work on building muscle. I’ll be doing my half-marathon training at the same time so that will be my cardio.. there’s no way I won’t drop more pounds.

I really need to work on my hydration more though. @fatmaninalittlesuit do you have any tips? I struggle because of the whole “can’t drink 30 minutes before or after eating” but also can’t chug a water or powerade or whatever because my pouch can’t handle it, so I’m struggling to even get in 20oz. of water a day (DON’T ATTACK ME I KNOW THAT’S BAD).

1.20.2020.

Incline intervals on the treadmill, with circuits of upper body, lower body, and abs on the 5 minute marks. Everything was bodyweight, but that’s fine for today. I haven’t done a fasted workout in a very long time and I feel surprisingly fine 🤷‍♀️ Normally I crash really hard. We’ll see how the day finishes out.

I feel pretty good this morning. Better now that I have yoga and cardio completed! I’m off to play for the rest of the day with my friend 🤗

I made my way BACK to the gym yesterday! 💪🏾 I know a lot of us felt the pressures of entering the new year with wanting to take care of our health and getting in shape. It’s up to YOU to make it happen. It’s sounds cliche, but write your goals down, and achieve them a little at a time. What’s a note without the work, right?



I used #resistancebands during this workout. The challenging part was keeping them from rolling up. 😑 Apparently, if they’re too high (up your legs), that’s what’s causes the rolling. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I did 1 minute of each workout 3 times. Make sure you’re stretching before attempting, cause it hurts. Lol

Nothing beats Sunday evening cardio!

As long as it involves a football!

After indoor football was cancelled last Sunday evening, getting back in the game (literally) was much needed last night. It’s kind of odd how sometimes we struggle to find 8 players when 12 turned up this time.

Anyway, three fairly equal teams were set up and the ball finally started rolling. We ended up winning 4 out of 5 games leaving us in 1st place which was about time. On the downside, I partially injured my left hand when trying to jump the back end in an attempt to fetch the ball to restart the game quickly.

I guess a slippery surface, a left hand and the pressure of around 75 kg isn’t the best combination. It doesn’t seem as if anything broke but it’s sore as fuck today. Tomorrow evening’s chest, triceps and biceps workout seems far away. I guess it’ll be legs and abs – but let’s wait an see…

Today’s running 🏃‍♂️ motivation comes from @marathonwifey 💓 that left my running gear ⚙️ on a chair 🪑 waiting for me to go out!

Well, I woke up and really didn’t want to run, it was dark and it was cold 🥶 but really couldn’t let wifey down! 💪
.
With 15km on the plan I left telling myself “just one ☝️ mile then I can go back if I don’t feel it”…5km in I told myself “if I can get to 10km, I con do the remaining 5km tonight!”…another 2km further in and I knew I was up for the full 15km 🙌
.
Took the new toy 🧸 📸 with me and shot a couple of videos along the usual path, including the sky 🌌 changing color, I have seen hundreds of these but can never get tired of it 🥰
.
By the way, today I weighted myself for the first time after the holiday, and I dropped 1.5kg 🤦‍♂️, how did that happen?! 😱
