Due to the fact that Shout! Factory got the home entertainment rights of the Sesame Street library from Warner Home Video, WarnerMedia will never acquire Sesame Workshop this year after moving its’ headquarters to 30 Hudson Yards in Manhattan just like how Disney did with The Muppets back in 2004. Even worse, Warner Bros. will make a 3rd Sesame Street movie directed by Jonathan Krisel in the works. Sesame Street will turn 50 this November so stop using Looney Tunes characters for the greetings!
This acquisition makes a lot of sense since Amazon is growing ever more dominant in the smart home space. I wish Apple would have pulled the trigger early and instead of exiting networking, replace their offering with Eero’s tech. It would have played nicely in their shift towards services revenue too.
